Breeder parents or Multipliers are produced in the Philippines where maximum affordable bio-security is applied. The facility is ISO 9002 certified and uses a recirculation system. Hormones are banned inside the facility. The breeders and fry are kept inside the facility. Fry used for sex reversal and sales in the local market are kept outside the facility in a separate location.

Grand parents (Breeder Parents) or breeders are shipped overseas as fry after receiving health certificate from BFAR (the veterinary authority). Fry is shipped directly from the incubation unit and is not exposed to the outside environment and possible contamination of parasites, bacteria, virus etc.

The Singapore multiplier/hatchery has been set up as a breeder production unit as well as a small pilot hatchery producing GenTrack fry/fingerlings for high-end markets where traceability and verification of origin is important.  GenoMar’s multiplier and hatchery operation is located within the AVA (Agri-food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore) facilities in Singapore where bio-security is among the highest in Asia. GenoMar is the only tilapia producer in Singapore and the risk of contamination is practically nil.

Every shipment is checked and certified by AVA.
